Eternal life

John 11:26 “And everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Some people have interpreted this as saying that it is possible to never die. Therefore, there are people today who are believing that they will live physically until the second coming of Jesus, even if that is thousands of years away. Although it is understandable how someone could interpret this verse in that manner, it is very doubtful that this is what Jesus truly meant.

First, a doctrine as profound as this would certainly be well documented in other scriptures. Other scriptures may sometimes be quoted as supporting this claim but they would not lead a person to this conclusion by themselves.

There would already have to be a prejudice in favor of this stand within a person to lead him to interpret these scriptures in this light. That is not a sound method of Bible interpretation. Also, there is not a single scriptural example of anyone who obtained this. That should make anyone suspect of this teaching. Enoch or Elijah might be cited as examples, but they were translated so that they didn’t die. They are not still in their physical bodies on this earth.

There have been periods in church history where certain truths were suppressed, such as the Baptism of the Holy Spirit or healing, and then revived through a move of God. But there was always a remnant of the church that continually experienced these blessings of God. That cannot be shown to be true with this belief that a believer can remain on the earth in his physical body until Jesus comes. Therefore, this passage of scripture concerning never dying is generally accepted as referring to our eternal life that we receive at salvation. The promise of never dying spiritually is made many times in scripture and it is promised to every believer.

SARCASM; the cousin of Life

Now that I’m older, here’s what I’ve discovered: I started out with nothing and I still have most of it. Funny how we are born naked, wet, and hungry…then things get worse. By now if u aint getting the sarcasm you are the one who laughs last, why? Cause you think slowest. Just think about it…as you grow older and get your head together, your body starts falling apart. People blame it on abuse of drugs. I beg to differ, anything – however good it is, if abused – abuses you in equal measure or even worse. E.g. Eat a lot, you get obese; over speed, probably die.. I used to think as we progress in life we get wiser, wrong. It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser…I have come to realize. (REF: Nas & Damien Marley – Patience). I found out things get thicker. It’s inevitable, you Eat Right, Exercise, you will Die anyway.

These are the reasons that make me live my life like Rihanna and follow Karma. Well, not always since Karma screws us all in one way or the other. Errors have been made. Others will be blamed. Take note of the tenses. And as if it doesn’t sound right, for your info. It started with Adam & Steve, oops… what’s the name of that chic who screwd us all at that Garden? I forgot. Someone told me the guy who wrote the Bible is the same one who said the earth is flat…I won’t even comment on that. But guess what? All reports are in. Life is now officially unfair, and we are made to suffer for sins committed by people we don’t even know. This is why upto now; when I thought I wanted a career, it turns out I just wanted paychecks. I pretend to work, and they pay me. I work, they pay me peanuts. The trouble with work is – it’s so daily, bureaucratic and unfair just like life itself.

Macho Law prohibits me from admitting I’m wrong. So when I tell you to fuck off, Okay, okay, I’ll take it back! UnFuck you! Life is a cycle and we just keep peddling…wait does that sound like a rap verse? Get problems now, they’ll return at the spin of the cycle. Funny, uh? The positive fact however is, “Always remember you’re unique, just like everyone else…hehe!” Don’t be cheated, even the rich ones have problems at their scale. And is it just me or adults are just kids who owe money? Just when I thought I found a job and will be independent, is when parents demand their returns on investment – your earnings. Scientists say 1 out of every 4 people are crazy. Check 3 friends, if they are OK, you’re it. Just like me.
